Flying Keys

One of my new years resolutions is to do one thing from Pinterest every month.

For those of you who don’t know what Pinterest is, it’s a place where people can “pin” stuff that they like (recipes, craft projects, work out tips, fashion ideas, etc) on to their different “boards” (or files).

It  can get kind of addicting, but you can find some super amazing ideas!

So, this is what I did for this month’s Pinterest challenge.

Now, for those of you who are not Harry Potter fans, this will probably seem like kind of a weird thing to do. Why would you want keys hanging from your celling? Well, in the first book of the Harry Potter series there are these flying keys. And the main characters have to try and catch the right one to open a door.

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. So when I saw this idea on Pinterest I knew I just had to do it!

There were actually really easy to make. Just some old keys, sturdy paper, scissors, a hot glue gun, a few clear thumb tacts, and some fishing wire. And voila! You have flying keys. 🙂
